Central Australian Institute Of Technology Pty. Ltd T/A Central Australian College (CAC) is a CRICOS Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that meets federal and state educational standard and functions with an objective of providing skilled workforce to growing Australian job market.

Currently CAC caters to both domestic and international students. It has been registered for Skills First Victoria Funding as well as Apprenticeship and Traineeship. Students enrolled at CAC have the opportunity to learn and grow in a multicultural environment.

CAC provides specialised industry training in a variety of sectors and is licensed to provide Nationally Recognised Training in Automotive Mechanical Technology, Automotive Management, Business, Management, Marketing and English language courses.

The head office is located at 8 Cross street, West Footscray in Melbourne.  Our Melbourne campus is located right across West Footscray train station making it very convenient for both staff and students to reach the college.

Hobart campus is located at 45 Murray street, Hobart. Our Hobart campus is in the heart of Hobart CBD, located at the corner of Murray street and Collins street and next to “The Cat & Fiddle Arcade”. It takes approximately 21 minutes from Hobart airport by taxi. SkyBus provides fast, frequent and low cost airport transfers to Hobart City. You can buy a ticket online or from the e-kiosk available at the airport. The nearest local Metro bus stop is a minute walk from the campus, located at 119 Collins Street.

CAC is equipped with modern style classrooms, library resources, student recreational areas including workshop facilities and computer labs with free access to internet and email. CAC is well equipped with modern technology and in house automotive workshop for student practices.

At CAC, our prime focus is on delivering quality training and assessment.  We ensure that student’s support services are given utmost importance.  Once enrolled with CAC students have a promising career pathway.  Majority of the students start with single qualification and continue to enhance their career prospects by enrolling in further qualifications that are being provided by CAC.

Our Training staffs are highly qualified with relevant industry experience. Trainers and Assessors are exposed to internal and external professional development opportunities where they get the provision to update their knowledge and skills.

Our learning and assessment materials are specifically designed to suit industry standards. We ensure that our learning resources are compliant by mapping them against the training package descriptions found on www.training.gov.au.  We have qualified experienced curriculum writers to contextualise assessments based on training need analysis, also specifically considering the reasonable adjustments for special students. Our curriculums are internally and externally validated through internal staff and industry bodies. Time to time assessment validations are conducted with trainers and industry experts, to ensure authentic, sufficient, current and valid resources for learning.

Focus On Student Support

Student satisfaction is a key to CAC’s core vision, and we ensure students are being provided end to end assistance right from the time they start the course. During the course, students are provided with student support services like extra tuition, peer learning, and mentoring; additional timeline for completing assessments and other services as per the individual learners’ circumstances.

Students are also supported by Student Welfare services. There is a designated Student Support Officer, whom they can directly meet whenever they wish to within the business hours. The Student Support Officer would provide necessary consultation and support and if required refer to external welfare services.
