CAC has suitable facilities and resources available for International Students and provides support and guidance in all areas of student’s life.

COLLEGE LOCATION

We have 3 campuses, 2 located in Melbourne, Victoria and 1 located in Hobart, Tasmania.

Melbourne CBD campus is located at level 1, 276 Flinders Street, Melbourne which is found in the heart of the city opposite Flinders Street station. With state-of-the-art facilities and easy access to many of Melbourne’s famous attractions, it is the perfect place to study.

West Footscray campus is at 8 Cross Street, West Footscray, opposite the train station, it is easy to reach and less than 20 minutes from the CBD.

The Hobart campus is situated within the bustling CBD at 45 Murray Street, Hobart. Located at the corner of Murray Street and Collins Street, next to “The Cat & Fiddle Arcade”, it’s within easy reach of Hobart’s landmarks, airport and stunning surrounding bushland.

CLASSROOMS

All classrooms are air-conditioned and are furnished with appropriate classroom furniture and necessary equipment for effective learning to take place.

Staff and students will have access to classroom or simulated workplace environment in the campus that will have following equipment as per the course requirement.

PRACTICAL ROOM (AUTOMOTIVE WORKSHOP)

Practical class is located in the same building where the entire course is conducted. It is well resoursed with automotive workshop equipment & toos such as 4 Post hoist, Air compressor, Work benches, Cars Engine, Wheel Balance, Tyre Changer, Parts Washer, Carman Scan Tool, Carman Gas Analyser this will provide trainees with practical knowledge of workshop practices and procedures, specific to the Automotive Industry. Trainees will learn how to service, repair and diagnose faults in motor vehicles.

STUDENT LOUNGE

The RTO provides a student lounge area within the building for students to relax, meet others, and converse in English. The area is also used as an area to find information on social activities, and other general information related to international students living in Australia.

STUDENT RESOURCE CENTRE

The student resource centre, located on the second floor of the campus, is equipped with selections of textbooks, reference books, magazines and newspapers for use by the students. This student resource centre is maintained and updated regularly with appropriate material such as: tapes and videos, magazines, newspapers.

INTERNET AND COMPUTER ACCESS

There is shared access to computers and internet for student use within the college. This use is limited to ensure all students are able to use the facility and internet access is limited. It will enable you to conduct research and access web based e-mails during college hours.

ORIENTATION & ENROLLMENT

Orientation is conducted prior to the commencement of the course. Its purpose is to fully inform new students of most aspects of life at the college and to provide an introduction to studying, Melbourne’s costs of living, transportation, facilities, banking and accommodation. In addition college staff will be introduced, a tour of the college and the local area will take place and an opportunity to ask questions will be provided.
